Showing little of the polish the next single would display, this come's across more like early My Bloody Valentine without the swoon.
I mean, it's great, but I feel this is the turning point of the singles into the band I loved.....it's a personal opinion you understand!
Cheers to Keg for sending me a copy!

PRECIOUS LITTLE
12"/CDS
(Creation, 1990, CRES081)

A more poppy tone rears it's head now, and this is where I began to take notice, this track appearing on an Indie Top 20 compilation, showing all the signs of the psychedelic sound that would mark later recordings.

EVERSO

Dream pop at it's best, it's such a floaty single with these mad guitar waves that smash across the chorus...beautiful....

3.Celestial
Produced By Richard Formby.

I keep all the decent singles, so you know this one's good....Telescopes had SMART b-sides as well, a top single...
I've got the video here...

FLYING

It's blinding! The guitars have this sheeny sound on them which are like tamborines..has to be heard to be believed...
According to Keg:
"The Telescopes' biggest hit, reached no.72 in the charts (roughly four places higher than Prolapse's biggest hit, fact fans)"

I found all this info on an abandoned website, so it may be mispelt, but I've not heard this album and can make no comment, I'd presume it's much more garagey than the second from the surrounding material!

Much improved second album, recorded at Protocol in London from November 91 to February 92 with Guy Fixsen.
To my knowledge only one single on it (Flying), but nonetheless the Telescopes were in fine form in this period...

NEED AN IMAGE
Matthew Amos mailed me to tell me about this : "I don't know the track listing for this album but it was basically most of the "Taste" album with 7th# Disaster thrown in. The sleeve was a black and white photo of the band on stage with a large CND symbol as a backdrop (the symbol looked like it was made out of coat-hangers)"
